Spouse Open Work Permit

It is a work permit that is not job-specific and because of that, you will not need the following when you apply for your work permit: a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) from Employment and Social Development Canada; or proof that an employer has submitted an offer of employment through the Employer Portal and paid the employer compliance fee.

Documents Required for Spouse Open Work Permit Canada

Passport
Valid Study Permit – belonging to the full-time McGill Student
Immigration Canada application fee: $155 + new $100 fee (as of Feb. 21, 2015) = $255

All of your supporting documents: proof of medical exam (if applicable), Marriage License/Certificate (translated in either English or French), or proof of common-law partnership.
